Alton Math Games League ignites passion for mathematics, achieves national success

posted May 16 2017 4:46 PM

Hard at workWe are pleased to share in the excitement about the success of the Alton Math Games League and their national championship title. Southern Illinois University Edwardsville College of Arts and Sciences Dean Greg Budzban led the league, believing that gamifying mathematics will engage young learners and foster an interest in the subject of math. At the Mannie Jackson Center for Humanities, we have a STEM focused program and are proud to partner with SIUE in providing local youth with chances to see and reach their hidden capacities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Congratulations to the “Alton Mathletes” on their success at the National Math Festival! To access the success story of the Alton Math Games League, visit: http://www.siue.edu/news/2017/05/Alton-Math-Games-League-Ignites-Passion-for-Mathematics-Achieves-National-Success.shtml
