Lewis and Clark Community College and Mannie Jackson are proud to launch the new Mannie Jackson Center for the Humanities Foundation website to support the mission and vision of the Mannie Jackson Center for the Humanities.
Through this new website, citizens from around the world can explore the past, present and future of the Center. Learn about MJCHF humanities and STEM efforts, together equipping individuals to thrive in a global society.
The Mannie Jackson Center for the Humanities is currently being constructed on the site of the former historic Lincoln School in Edwardsville, Illinois, where namesake, entrepreneur and influential leader Mannie Jackson attended school. It is slated to open in late 2015.
In the meantime, this website will be a resource for photos and updates, as well as an upcoming calendar of events.
Those interested can learn how to make a donation in support of the Foundation and Center’s efforts by clicking on the “Donate Now” button from almost any page on the site.
MJCHF.org will serve as the international headquarters of the Center, helping us bring together diverse audiences and humanities programming through lectures, readings, dialogues, public service opportunities and educational programs.
Check back often to get construction updates, see what events are coming up, and learn ways to help us support the Center’s efforts to promote mutual understanding and respect among all people and influence positive social change.
